The Role: As a Trauma Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room, you will provide specialized, high-quality nursing care to patients experiencing acute injuries or life-threatening conditions. Working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, you will utilize advanced clinical skills to stabilize and support patients, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional emergency care.

Responsibilities:

• Assess, triage, and prioritize patients with traumatic injuries or critical conditions in the Emergency Room.

• Administer medications, fluids, and advanced life support interventions as per established protocols.

• Monitor patients' vital signs, recognize changes in condition, and respond promptly to emergencies.

• Assist physicians with trauma-related procedures, including wound care, airway management, and diagnostic imaging.

• Provide emotional support to patients and families, ensuring clear communication about care plans and outcomes.

• Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, treatments, and patient progress in medical records.

• Adhere to trauma-specific safety and infection control guidelines, maintaining a sterile and organized environment.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or equivalent.

• Current, unrestricted RN license in your province of practice.

• Minimum 2 years of trauma or emergency nursing experience, with recent hands-on practice in an ER setting.

• Certification in ACLS, BLS, TNCC, PALS, and CTAS.

• Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills, with the ability to make quick decisions in high-stakes situations.

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, fostering collaboration in a multidisciplinary environment.

• Fluent in English and French.
