The Role: As a Dialysis Nurse, you will provide specialized care for patients undergoing Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) and Hemodialysis (HD). You will be responsible for assessing, planning, and delivering high-quality care to patients with kidney-related health issues, ensuring they receive appropriate treatments and support during their dialysis sessions.
Responsibilities:
Administer Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) and Hemodialysis (HD) treatments according to established protocols and guidelines.
Monitor and assess patients during dialysis sessions, identifying any complications or issues and responding quickly to ensure patient safety.
Educate patients and their families about dialysis procedures, lifestyle adjustments, and managing kidney health.
Maintain accurate patient records, including treatment data, vital signs, and any adverse reactions or changes in condition.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans for dialysis patients.
Ensure compliance with infection control standards and best practices to maintain a safe, sterile environment during treatments.
Requirements:
Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license with current certification.
Minimum 2 years of experience in Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) and Hemodialysis (HD).
Knowledge and experience in managing dialysis access sites, complications, and troubleshooting dialysis machines.
Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to make quick, informed decisions during dialysis procedures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to educate patients and collaborate with healthcare teams effectively.
Ability to provide compassionate care, demonstrating empathy for patients undergoing chronic treatment regimens.
