Lighting Designer

Job Type: Full-Time

Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM EST, with a 30-minute break

Salary: $1,000 - $1,200 Per Month

Job Overview: 

We are seeking a skilled Lighting Designer to join our remote team and support commercial lighting projects across the U.S. You will collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors on a wide range of developments, including multi-family, education, civic, and healthcare buildings. This role requires advanced CAD and lighting design software skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage technical documentation in line with U.S. standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create lighting layouts and perform accurate photometric calculations.
  • Modify and manage reflected ceiling plans (RCPs) with precision and consistency.
  • Edit and customize Revit lighting families for various project requirements.
  • Prepare comprehensive submittal packages and product cut sheets.
  • Coordinate closely with the U.S.-based sales team to clarify project needs.
  • Ensure adherence to deadlines and maintain high drafting standards.
  • Optimize lighting designs by manipulating CAD files as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in lighting design.
  • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, including modifying reflected ceiling plans (RCPs), managing layers, and maintaining professional drafting standards.
  • Proficiency in AGi32 (strongly preferred) or DIALux evo.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural plans and specifications.
  • Experience editing and customizing Revit luminaire families.
  • Familiarity with IES standards and U.S. lighting manufacturers.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet project deadlines consistently.
  • Excellent written English communication skills.
  • Reliable internet connection and personal computer with adequate specs.
  • Architectural or electrical engineering background is a plus.
  • Experience working on U.S.-based projects or with U.S.-based companies is preferred.

Note: An NBI or police clearance will be required upon acceptance of the job offer.
