The Role: As a Physical Therapist in Rehabilitation, you will play a vital role in helping patients regain mobility, strength, and function following injury, illness, or surgery. You will develop personalized treatment plans to address patients' unique needs and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care and optimal recovery outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Conduct detailed assessments of patients' physical capabilities, limitations, and rehabilitation needs.
Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to improve mobility, strength, and overall function.
Utilize therapeutic techniques, exercises, and equipment to support patient recovery and prevent further injury.
Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, safety strategies, and the use of assistive devices.
Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists and physicians, to coordinate comprehensive care plans.
Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
Requirements:
Licensed Physical Therapist with current registration in your province or territory.
Previous experience in rehabilitation or a related field is an asset.
Strong understanding of rehabilitative techniques, biomechanics, and physical therapy equipment.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with patients and multidisciplinary teams.
Ability to work independently while managing multiple patients and priorities in a dynamic environment.
