The Role: As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Medical Unit, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with diverse medical conditions. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, you will assess patient needs, develop and implement care plans, and ensure patients receive comprehensive and compassionate care.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
Monitor and document patient progress, vital signs, and responses to treatment.
Provide patient education and support on health conditions and treatment plans.
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to care planning.
Ensure adherence to infection control procedures and safety protocols.
Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care effectively.
Requirements:
Current, unrestricted RN license in your province.
Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in Canada, preferably in a medical setting.
Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing patient needs.
Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
