The Role: As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Room (ER) and High Acuity Unit (HAU), you will deliver specialized and responsive care to patients requiring urgent medical attention and advanced monitoring. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, you will use critical thinking and advanced nursing skills to stabilize and improve patient outcomes in high-pressure settings.
Responsibilities:
Provide immediate and critical care for patients in emergency and high-acuity conditions, including stabilizing vital signs, administering medications, and managing interventions.
Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions, including vital signs, treatments, and changes in health status.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans for ER and HAU patients.
Educate patients and families about health conditions, discharge care instructions, and preventive practices.
Maintain compliance with clinical protocols, infection control guidelines, and unit policies.
Requirements:
Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license within the province.
Certification in ACLS, BLS, and CTAS.
Minimum of 2 years of Canadian experience in ER, HAU, or related critical care settings.
Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills in fast-paced environments.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities to ensure effective patient care and collaboration.
