The Role: As a Registered Nurse (RN) in Labour & Delivery, Pediatrics, and Medical-Surgical Units, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care across diverse patient populations. You will support mothers during childbirth, care for pediatric patients, and manage a variety of medical and surgical conditions in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery.
Assess and manage pediatric patients, addressing acute and chronic conditions while offering family-centered support and education.
Monitor and manage patients with medical and surgical conditions, administering medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients across specialties.
Ensure accurate documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes, maintaining compliance with hospital policies and standards.
Promote a safe environment by adhering to infection control, safety protocols, and evidence-based practices.
Requirements:
Current, unrestricted RN license in your province.
Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in Labour & Delivery, Pediatrics, or Medical-Surgical units.
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NRP required; PALS is an asset.
Strong knowledge of maternal, newborn, pediatric, and medical-surgical care practices.
Excellent critical-thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
Ability to work effectively in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
