Job Title: Assistant Branch Operations Manager
Location: Framingham, MA
Job Type: Full-Time
Work Location: In-person

Pay Range: $48,000 – $52,000 per year
Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

  • Weekends as needed

Summary:
The Assistant Branch Operations Manager supports the Branch Operations Manager in overseeing daily warehouse and delivery operations. This role includes supervising personnel, ensuring operational efficiency, maintaining safety standards, and providing high-quality service to customers and internal teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Spend approximately 70% of time supervising two or more warehouse and delivery associates.

  • Execute supervisory responsibilities in alignment with company policies and legal requirements.

  • Responsibilities include:

    • Interviewing, hiring, and training staff.

    • Assigning and directing work.

    • Assisting with performance appraisals.

    • Recommending rewards and participating in disciplinary actions.

    • Addressing complaints and resolving issues promptly.

  • Collaborate with the Branch Manager to coordinate warehouse activities and maintain seamless communication with the sales team and customers.

  • Manage the workflow of daily delivery orders and oversee return and replenishment processes.

  • Ensure safety protocols are followed, participate in planning training sessions, and contribute to maintaining a safe work environment.

  • Foster a customer service-oriented culture among all staff.

  • Oversee processes for inbound and outbound shipments and inventory accuracy.

  • Identify opportunities for operational improvements and ensure maintenance and repairs of warehouse equipment.

  • Prepare routine reports, memos, and documentation for management and HR.

Position Requirements:

  • Strong communication skills; ability to read/write reports and speak effectively in group settings.

  • Proficiency with basic math: percentages, time calculations, area, and discounts.

  • Effective problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate non-standard scenarios.

  • Proficient with standard office equipment and computer systems.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Additional language skills are a plus, but not required.
