Medical Biller (Neurology Practice)

Job Type: Full-Time

Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Pacific Time, with a 1-hour break

Salary: $1,200 per month

Job Overview: 

We are seeking an experienced Medical Biller to support a neurology practice by managing end-to-end billing processes for insurance claims. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with neurology billing, understands specialty-specific codes, and ensures accurate, timely reimbursement while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, submit, and follow up on medical claims for neurology services
• Review and verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits
• Ensure accurate use of CPT, ICD-10, and modifier codes specific to neurology
• Post payments, reconcile accounts, and manage adjustments
• Identify and resolve claim denials and billing discrepancies
• Communicate with insurance providers to address claim issues
• Maintain accurate billing records and support audits as needed
• Collaborate with front-office and clinical staff to ensure billing accuracy

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Medical Biller, preferably in a neurology or specialty practice
• Strong knowledge of neurology CPT, ICD-10, and billing modifiers
• Familiarity with commercial insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid billing
• Experience with EHR and medical billing software
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Excellent communication and follow-up skills
• Ability to work independently and meet billing deadlines
