Construction Estimator / Take-Off Specialist

Job Type: Part-Time (minimum 20 hours per week)

Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM Pacific Time

Salary: $700 per month

Job Overview: 

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-driven Construction Estimator / Take-Off Specialist to support our commercial construction projects by delivering precise quantity take-offs and accurate cost estimates. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Bluebeam and PlanSwift, with the ability to confidently read and interpret architectural and structural drawings for tenant improvements, retail construction, and ground-up multifamily developments. This role plays a critical part in the pre-construction process, helping ensure competitive, well-prepared bids and smooth project execution. The position will begin as part-time with the opportunity to transition into a full-time role as workload and performance align with company growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed quantity take-offs using Bluebeam and PlanSwift
• Review and interpret architectural and structural drawings accurately
• Prepare cost estimates based on plans, specifications, and project scope
• Assist with bid preparation and pricing analysis
• Organize and manage project documentation
• Communicate effectively with project managers and internal teams
• Maintain organized tracking sheets and estimating logs in Excel

Required Qualifications:

• Prior experience supporting U.S.-based commercial construction projects
• Experience working remotely with construction or estimating teams
• Strong expertise in Bluebeam for construction take-offs
• Proficiency in PlanSwift take-off software
• Advanced ability in reading and interpreting construction plans
• Experience in commercial construction, preferably:
• Tenant Improvements
• Retail Construction
• Ground-Up Multifamily Projects
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
