The Role: As an RN in the ER Unit, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality nursing care to patients in a fast-paced medical-surgical emergency room setting. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure the delivery of comprehensive and compassionate patient care.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care by established policies, procedures, and standards of practice.
Perform comprehensive assessments and develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and assist with various medical procedures.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure effective communication and coordination of care.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation.
Respond promptly and efficiently to emergencies, ensuring the appropriate interventions are carried out.
Adhere to infection control and safety protocols at all times.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
Current, unrestricted RN license in your current province.
Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in an emergency room setting (most recent experience).
ACLS, BLS, TNCC, PALS, and CTAS Certifications.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
