Job Summary
The Breakfast Attendant is responsible for setting up, maintaining, and breaking down the hotel’s breakfast area while providing friendly and efficient service to guests. This position helps ensure that all food and beverage items are properly stocked, presented, and handled according to brand, food safety, and cleanliness standards, creating a welcoming and positive experience for guests each morning.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Set up the breakfast area according to hotel and brand standards, including food, beverages, utensils, and serving equipment.

  • Prepare simple breakfast items as required (such as eggs, oatmeal, waffles, toast, or fruit), following recipes and instructions provided by the hotel.

  • Monitor and replenish food, beverages, condiments, plates, cups, and cutlery throughout breakfast service.

  • Ensure all food and beverage items are properly labeled, rotated, and stored following food safety and sanitation guidelines.

  • Keep the breakfast area clean and organized at all times, including tables, counters, equipment, and floors.

  • Clear and clean guest tables quickly to ensure seating availability during busy times.

  • Greet guests in a friendly manner, answer basic questions about the breakfast options, and assist with any reasonable requests.

  • Follow proper procedures for handling, reheating, and discarding food items according to hotel policies and local regulations.

  • Assist with dishwashing, trash removal, and cleaning of the kitchen or prep area related to breakfast service.

  • Break down the breakfast setup at the end of service, properly storing food items, cleaning equipment, and resetting the area for the next day as instructed.

  • Report any equipment malfunctions, product shortages, safety hazards, or guest concerns to the supervisor or manager immediately.

  • Follow all health, safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures at all times.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.
