Job Description

The Role: As a CT Technologist in the Medical Imaging department, you will be responsible for performing computed tomography (CT) imaging procedures, ensuring high-quality patient care, and maintaining accurate imaging records. Using advanced CT scanning technology, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide detailed diagnostic images that assist in patient diagnosis and treatment.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Perform CT imaging procedures based on physician orders and departmental protocols, ensuring accurate and high-quality diagnostic results.

  • Ensure patient safety and comfort by explaining the procedure, positioning patients correctly, and providing support throughout the imaging process.

  • Operate, calibrate, and maintain CT scanning equipment, ensuring optimal performance and high-quality images.

  • Review and evaluate the quality of CT images, making adjustments or repeating scans as necessary to ensure diagnostic accuracy.

  • Collaborate with radiologists and other medical professionals to ensure images meet diagnostic standards.

  • Maintain accurate patient records and assist with the maintenance of imaging equipment and supplies.

  • Adhere to radiation safety protocols and guidelines to protect patients, staff, and yourself.

 

Requirements:

  • Valid certification/license as a CT Technologist, Radiologic Technologist, or equivalent.

  • Minimum of 2 years Canadian experience in CT imaging (preferred).

  • Strong knowledge of CT imaging procedures, safety protocols, and radiation safety.

  • Proficient in operating and maintaining CT scanning equipment.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide compassionate patient care.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative healthcare environment.
