The Role: As a CT Technologist in the Medical Imaging department, you will be responsible for performing computed tomography (CT) imaging procedures, ensuring high-quality patient care, and maintaining accurate imaging records. Using advanced CT scanning technology, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide detailed diagnostic images that assist in patient diagnosis and treatment.
Responsibilities:
Perform CT imaging procedures based on physician orders and departmental protocols, ensuring accurate and high-quality diagnostic results.
Ensure patient safety and comfort by explaining the procedure, positioning patients correctly, and providing support throughout the imaging process.
Operate, calibrate, and maintain CT scanning equipment, ensuring optimal performance and high-quality images.
Review and evaluate the quality of CT images, making adjustments or repeating scans as necessary to ensure diagnostic accuracy.
Collaborate with radiologists and other medical professionals to ensure images meet diagnostic standards.
Maintain accurate patient records and assist with the maintenance of imaging equipment and supplies.
Adhere to radiation safety protocols and guidelines to protect patients, staff, and yourself.
Requirements:
Valid certification/license as a CT Technologist, Radiologic Technologist, or equivalent.
Minimum of 2 years Canadian experience in CT imaging (preferred).
Strong knowledge of CT imaging procedures, safety protocols, and radiation safety.
Proficient in operating and maintaining CT scanning equipment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide compassionate patient care.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative healthcare environment.
