The Role: As a Physiotherapist in Inpatient and Emergency care, you will provide specialized rehabilitation services to patients recovering from acute medical conditions, injuries, or surgeries. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing evidence-based physiotherapy interventions to optimize patient mobility, function, and recovery in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive physiotherapy assessments for patients in inpatient and emergency settings, identifying their functional impairments and therapy needs.
Develop and deliver personalized treatment plans, incorporating therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and pain management techniques.
Facilitate early mobilization and rehabilitation to enhance recovery, prevent complications, and reduce hospital stays.
Monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated, multidisciplinary care.
Educate patients and caregivers on home exercises, mobility aids, and discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
Requirements:
Completion of a recognized Physiotherapy program and successful completion of the national licensure exam.
Active license or registration with the provincial regulatory body.
Experience in acute care, inpatient, or emergency physiotherapy settings is preferred.
Strong clinical assessment skills and a thorough understanding of rehabilitation practices for acute medical and surgical conditions.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate in a multidisciplinary environment.
Compassionate and patient-centered approach, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.
