Lease Renewal Specialist

Job Type: Full-Time

Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM Central Time, with a 30-minute break 

Salary: $1000

Job Overview: 

We are seeking a friendly, professional, and customer-focused Lease Renewal Specialist to support our property management team by assisting residents through the lease renewal process. In this role, you will proactively communicate with residents via phone, text, and email to discuss upcoming lease renewals, answer questions, explain renewal options, and guide them through each step of the process. The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, enjoys building rapport with people, and is committed to delivering an outstanding resident experience while helping maximize lease renewals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contact residents by phone, text, and email regarding upcoming lease renewals.
  • Explain lease renewal options, terms, and timelines in a clear and professional manner.
  • Guide residents through the renewal process and address general questions or concerns.
  • Build positive relationships with residents by providing friendly, responsive, and professional customer service.
  • Follow up with residents to encourage timely completion of renewal agreements.
  • Maintain accurate records of resident communications, follow-ups, and renewal statuses.
  • Coordinate with the property management team regarding resident concerns, special requests, or issues that may impact lease renewals.
  • Escalate complex questions or situations to the appropriate team members when necessary.
  • Meet renewal outreach and follow-up goals while ensuring a positive resident experience.
  • Assist with answering incoming calls, following up with residents, applicants, or missed calls, and providing administrative and leasing support as needed. 

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in leasing, property management, customer service, or a similar resident-facing role.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills with a confident and professional phone presence.
  • Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
  • Comfortable communicating with residents through phone calls, text messages, and email.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple follow-ups and priorities.
  • Detail-oriented with accurate documentation and record-keeping skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
  • Experience using property management software such as AppFolio, Yardi, Buildium, Rent Manager, or a similar platform is required. 
  • Ability to work independently, stay organized, and maintain professionalism when handling resident inquiries.

Note: An NBI or police clearance will be required upon acceptance of the job offer.
