Schedule

  • Monday through Friday

  • 8-hour daytime shifts

Contract Term

  • Targeted start date: 12/29 (pending background clearance)

  • Initial 6-month contract commitment

  • Extensions pre-approved through 12/26

Position Overview

The Registered Dietitian will provide comprehensive nutritional assessment, counseling, and education to patients within a healthcare setting serving a diverse community population. This role involves collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams to develop individualized nutrition plans, support chronic disease management, and promote overall wellness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct complete nutritional assessments for patients across various age groups.

  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized nutrition care plans.

  • Provide medical nutrition therapy for conditions such as diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular disease, and other chronic illnesses.

  • Deliver patient and family education on dietary needs, healthy eating habits, and disease-specific nutrition guidelines.

  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to ensure coordinated patient care.

  • Document all patient interactions, assessments, and care plans according to facility standards.

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives as needed.

Requirements

  • Active Registered Dietitian credential (RD/RDN).

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field; completion of an accredited dietetic internship.

  • Current state licensure or ability to obtain (if required by state).

  • Prior clinical or hospital-based experience preferred.

  • Strong communication and patient education skills.

  • Ability to work independently and adapt within a dynamic clinical environment.
