Job Description

Our Client, is a national Carrier transporting Consumer retail and grocery products across Canada also servicing key cross-border routes throughout the U.S.

As a respected Canadian transportation ‘brand’, their priority is the ‘well-being’ of their operational Team of professional AZ/DZ Drivers including their Owner/Operators.

We‘re in search of a multi-faceted Specialist, providing support to a group of 40+ AZ Drivers.

The ‘Ideal Candidate’ comes from a customer service, human resources or dispatch background with 2 to 3 years’ experience working in the ‘essential’ supply chain, distribution, logistics or transportation industries.

TRAINING: Will be on DAY SHIFT – flexibility to train on DAY shift for up to 3 months

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain scheduling of various Driver activities: vacation, medical, co-ordinate training sessions, company social events
  • New Hire Orientation, issue Corporate clothing/uniforms, track
  • “Go To’ resource: acting as an advocate and Ambassador providing support, process and procedural info, issue resolution, coaching empowerment to help them reach their personal best as successful members of a 400+ company Team

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Diploma or Degree – Business administration, Human Resources, Business/Finance/psychology or social sciences
  • Clear communications skills, strong telephone presence, excellent listening skills, respectful and ‘fair-minded’ inter-personal engagement
  • Above-average time management, organizational skills and ‘speed-of-service’ execution
