The Role: As a Rehabilitation Physiotherapist, you will assess, plan, and implement treatment programs to support patients’ physical recovery and wellness. Using evidence-based practices, you will help patients regain mobility, manage pain, and improve functional independence. You will also educate patients and their families on exercises and lifestyle changes to promote long-term health and prevent future injuries.
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical abilities and limitations using functional and diagnostic tests to set clear treatment goals.
Develop and execute tailored rehabilitation treatment plans, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, massage, and other modalities like electrotherapy as appropriate.
Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of treatments, adjusting plans as needed to address changing patient needs and progress.
Educate patients and their families on home exercises and strategies to sustain or enhance treatment benefits.
Coordinate patient care with referring physicians and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive treatment.
Maintain accurate and detailed clinical records, and actively participate in health promotion and preventative programs for patients, staff, and the community.
Requirements:
Successful completion of a recognized Physiotherapy program and national licensure exam.
Active registration or licensure with the provincial regulatory body.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate approach to patient care.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, with effective problem-solving skills.
Experience working with patients of diverse ages and conditions in a rehabilitation setting is preferred.
