Job Description

The Role: As a Rehabilitation Physiotherapist, you will assess, plan, and implement treatment programs to support patients’ physical recovery and wellness. Using evidence-based practices, you will help patients regain mobility, manage pain, and improve functional independence. You will also educate patients and their families on exercises and lifestyle changes to promote long-term health and prevent future injuries.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical abilities and limitations using functional and diagnostic tests to set clear treatment goals.

  • Develop and execute tailored rehabilitation treatment plans, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, massage, and other modalities like electrotherapy as appropriate.

  • Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of treatments, adjusting plans as needed to address changing patient needs and progress.

  • Educate patients and their families on home exercises and strategies to sustain or enhance treatment benefits.

  • Coordinate patient care with referring physicians and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive treatment.

  • Maintain accurate and detailed clinical records, and actively participate in health promotion and preventative programs for patients, staff, and the community.

 

Requirements:

  • Successful completion of a recognized Physiotherapy program and national licensure exam.

  • Active registration or licensure with the provincial regulatory body.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate approach to patient care.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, with effective problem-solving skills.

  • Experience working with patients of diverse ages and conditions in a rehabilitation setting is preferred.
