The Role: As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Float Pool, you will provide flexible, high-quality care across multiple units, adapting to diverse patient populations and clinical environments. Your versatility and broad skill set will support the hospital’s staffing needs, ensuring continuity of care in a variety of departments.
Responsibilities:
Deliver patient-centered care across various units, including Medical-Surgical, Emergency, ICU, Pediatrics, and Obstetrics.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans based on patient needs and unit requirements.
Administer medications, treatments, and interventions safely and accurately, adhering to hospital protocols.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes in diverse care settings.
Maintain accurate documentation and report on patient progress, interventions, and outcomes.
Adapt quickly to different workflows, patient populations, and unit-specific policies.
Requirements:
Current, unrestricted RN license in your province.
Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, preferably across multiple specialties.
BLS, ACLS or other unit-specific certifications are an asset.
Strong adaptability and critical-thinking skills to work effectively in various high-pressure environments.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Commitment to patient safety, infection control protocols, and high standards of care.
