The Role: As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Emergency Room (ER), you will provide high-acuity care to critically ill and injured patients in dynamic, fast-paced environments. You will assess, monitor, and stabilize patients, ensuring optimal outcomes through expert clinical judgment and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities:
Assess and prioritize the care of critically ill and emergency patients, initiating life-saving interventions when required.
Administer medications, therapies, and advanced interventions such as ventilator management and cardiac monitoring.
Monitor patient conditions closely, identifying and responding to changes in status promptly.
Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient care, interventions, and outcomes, adhering to facility policies.
Ensure adherence to infection control, safety protocols, and quality standards in high-pressure environments.
Requirements:
Current, unrestricted RN license in your province.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in ICU, ER, or other critical care settings.
ACLS, BLS, TNCC, PALS, and CTAS Certifications.
Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills to manage complex, rapidly changing patient conditions.
Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments with excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Familiarity with advanced equipment, such as ventilators, hemodynamic monitors, and infusion devices.
