Assistant Estimator

Job Type: Full-Time

Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 5:30 AM - 2:00 PM Pacific Time, with a 30-minute break

Salary: $1,200 per month

Job Overview: 

We are seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Estimator to support a U.S.-based estimating team by completing accurate quantity takeoffs and drawing markups from landscape architectural plans. This role is focused on measurements, plan review, and documentation, while final pricing and bid strategy are handled by senior estimators. Accuracy, diligence, and consistency are critical to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs from U.S. landscape architectural and civil drawings
• Use Bluebeam Revu to measure, count, and annotate plans
• Clearly mark up drawings so estimators can easily review scope and quantities
• Identify all relevant scope items, including materials, assemblies, and site elements
• Review drawings for missing information, discrepancies, and conflicts
• Review specifications as they pertain to scope, including precast, GFRC, and site furnishings
• Organize takeoff data in spreadsheets or company templates
• Communicate questions, assumptions, and clarifications clearly to the estimating team
• Follow internal standards for accuracy, layer organization, and documentation

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of experience in quantity takeoffs, estimating support, or quantity surveying
• Proficient in Excel
• Strong proficiency with Bluebeam Revu (required)
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD or similar CAD software (required)
• Experience reading and interpreting landscape, civil, and architectural plans
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong written English communication skills
• Reliable computer, stable internet connection, and a quiet work environment
